A Perfect Peach

Simple yet extraordinary; this recipe heightens the flavor of the peach and turns it into a restaurant quality dessert.  Perfect for a dinner party or enjoying solo on a summer’s night.  It doesnt get much better than this.

Grilled Peaches
recipe for 4 people, but can easily be made for one

2 Peaches
1 tablespoon of butter
1 glug of fruity white wine
2 or 3 heaping tablespoons of brown sugar

Cut the peaches in half and remove the pit. Add the ingrediants to a large plastic bag and massage into the peach. Let sit for a little while (doesnt have to be long, maybe while you finish dinner?). Heat a grill or grill pan on medium heat. Remove the peach from the marinade and place cut-side up and cover (if using a grill pan inside, cover with a large pot). Once the bottom is a little charred flip so peach is cut-side down and cover again. Remove peach when there are nice grill marks and the sugar has caramelized. Top with creme fraiche and crushed ginger snaps..
